Not necessarily. If he has an additional role, it'll be separate from his title. If he doesn't, then he only gave you his objective, right? He should have a "gift" to go with it, though.

Monika doesn't seem to be doing a whole lot, so even if we checked her, I don't know how much good it'd do us. There are other people I might've liked to check... but with this, Hikage's probably jumped the queue.

Yeah. It probably would have been good to check him anyway, since we were planning to tell him about this.

[ and at least this way they'll know if it's just a title's power or something else. ]

Then, it's decided. I've been thinking about what to do for our next note too, actually.

First, I want to check with Dragon or Tiger that Akechi's additional role wasn't just him being the murderer of the week, but...

I was thinking of revealing that he has one—and maybe Monika too—to someone through the note. Someone who might confront him for us, could potentially get info out of him, and wouldn't necessarily keep it to themselves.

It'd have to be someone he didn't speak with privately last week, either—just to make sure we don't accidentally send it to one of his allies. Maybe someone like... that El-Melloi guy, Fane, or even Souji?

... I'm personally leaning more towards Souji, but that's because I talk to him pretty regularly.

[ she doesn't really know el-melloi at all; most of her interaction with him was when he dropped her. ]

Fane definitely would not be shy about confronting him though. He's shown that he doesn't care about keeping appearances.

The problem with sending it to someone we have ties to means that it could be linked back to us. I'm a little wary since Shirasu might already be confronting him... though I'm hoping he won't mention me.

[but it's sort of out of his hands.]

In any case, I was also thinking that we make the note full of bullshi—I mean, we should make it all... poetic? Like a riddle. It might make it seem more legit if they have to work to get the answer. Also, it's in line with the general theme of this place.

I guess we might not find out if he's confronting him or not before Tuesday, huh?

I think that works. Plus, it's different enough from Natsuo's that people might not think it's from the same source.

It might look a little suspicious if I go up to him now, all, "Hey, could you tell me if you're going to talk to Akechi and if you'll mention me?"

[he smiles, his expression wry.]

Anyway, we've got until Tuesday to decide who to send it to. Let's think on it a little.
